Modern anti-aging.

The discovery of the function of telomeres and their lengthening is the most exciting anti-aging development of these decades.

Advantages with TA-65®

TA-65® is a natural extract from the Astragalus membranaceus moench plant. By activating telomerase, it lengthens the telomeres and supports cell division.

TA-65® products focus on telomere lengthening, a natural anti-aging agent with antioxidant properties to help cells recover and regenerate.

TA-65® is said to have an immune-stimulating effect and the ability to reduce histamine release.

The length of the telomeres shortens with each cell division and correlates inversely with age. A critical minimum length of the telomeres triggers cell cycle arrest or aging of the cell.

TA-65® Study:

Activation of telomerase by TA-65® strengthens immunity and reduces inflammation after myocardial infarction

TA-65® is a compound that aims to increase the activity of telomerase, an enzyme that maintains the length of telomeres. A myocardial infarction, also known as a heart attack, is a serious condition that damages the heart tissue.

A pilot clinical study (April 2023) of 90 patients aged 65 years and older after myocardial infarction investigated the effects of using TA-65® compared to placebo on the immune response and inflammation after myocardial infarction.
Telomerase activation by TA-65® resulted in improved immunity by increasing the function and efficiency of the immune system. At the same time, a reduction in the inflammatory reactions that can occur after a myocardial infarction was observed.

Given the significant results in increasing lymphocytes, the trend towards a reduction in inflammatory markers and the extremely favorable safety profile, a larger clinical study can confirm that one year of treatment with TA-65® after a myocardial infarction can reduce CRP levels, thereby shifting the inflammatory profile of patients from high to low risk.

These findings suggest that telomerase activation by TA-65® may be a promising strategy to boost the immune response, reduce inflammation, potentially leading to better recovery and reducing complications after a heart attack.

TA-65® in Corona:

For a strong immune system

The coronavirus and its spread are on everyone's lips. In addition to being hygienic, it is important to support the body's immune system and thus reduce the likelihood or severity of illness.

As we get older, our immune system becomes more and more experienced and we become resistant to childhood viral infections, colds and flu viruses.
Nevertheless, our immune system is constantly challenged as new viruses – such as the coronavirus – that are not yet known to the body are constantly emerging.
To prevent these pathogens from making us sick, the immune system has to work extremely hard. The defense cells have to divide faster, which leads to the aging of the immune system.
However, an ageing immune system becomes more lax and therefore less effective. This means that it is less able to recognize and fight infected or even degenerated body cells.
With each division of our immune cells, their telomeres shorten, so that many of them are no longer able to divide.

Telomere length is a characteristic biomarker for cellular aging.

Biomarkers are used in medicine to detect a disease, preferably before the first symptoms become apparent, and to predict the prognosis for that disease.

By taking TA-65® daily, telomerase is activated, which lengthens our telomeres after each cell division.
This rejuvenates our cells, including the immune cells, so that they can react quickly, precisely and powerfully to infected and malignant cells.

TA-65® new study:

Advance announcement of a new study on telomere length and Covid 19

A new study conducted in Spain, just published by Mario Blasco's team, shows that the percentage of short telomeres is directly related to the severity of Covid-19 infections.

We know that the incidence of severe manifestations of COVID-19 increases with age, with older patients having the highest mortality.
One mechanism of aging is the progressive shortening of telomeres, which are protective structures at the ends of chromosomes.
The researchers hypothesized that the presence of short telomeres in older patients limits the tissue response to SARS-CoV-2 infection. So they measured telomere length in peripheral blood lymphocytes from COVID-19 patients aged between 29 and 85 years.
They found that shorter telomeres are associated with increased disease severity. As expected, they observed a significant inverse correlation between mean telomere length and the age of COVID-19 patients. They also found a significant direct correlation between the proportion of short telomeres and the age of the patients.

They also found that short telomeres can be lengthened by telomerase activation strategies (TA-65® is one of them), which have previously been shown to delay aging and age-related pathologies.
According to the results, they also speculate that such telomerase activation approaches could improve some of the remaining tissue pathologies in COVID-19 patients, such as fibrosis-like pathologies in the lungs after overcoming the viral infection.

As an additional note to the study, TA-65® also has significant positive effects on the immune system by increasing the telomere length of immune cells and decreasing the number of non-functional and toxic senescent immune cells. TA-65® may provide additional protection against environmental pathogens.

Telomeres and telomerase in cell aging

Replicative cell aging is characterized by telomere shortening. Short telomeres are associated with increased genetic instability. The enzyme telomerase counteracts telomere shortening in germline cells and tumor cells.
